After being told he has roseola, we thought it was over. However, we were wrong... that Saturday another fever appeared again. He was at a high of 101 -- Sunday he was hoovering around 99 and high 100s. We called it in, and on Monday both his ped and liver team talked it out and said it's most likely another viral infection he caught and give him a break. However if other symptoms show - such as vomiting - we need to go back to the ER. Well of course Kyle decided that on Tuesday he wanted to make a trip there. He vomits and is at a high of 103.
The trip to the ER turned into a stay of 48 hours. Although it turned out there was no bacterial in his blood stream -- his liver enzymes numbers were trending high enough to be alarming the day we went in, which had us staying. Great to see his nurses and docs...but def not condition we would of wanted it to be. At the end of the day after several rounds of tests and a few rounds of antibiotics they discharged him saying it was 99% viral. We're going back there Monday for another round of blood test just to make sure all is good and trending down.
The best part -- I guess more for daddy is NFL draftees made an appearance at the hospital day of draft. He got some autographs and a pic of RG3.
More pics to be posted shortly.

Happy Results!
We're so proud of our lil tiger! His numbers came back from his blood work last week and they're amazing! His bilirubin count is .3 over .1 -- NORMAL! we love that name! Liver enzymes number according to daddio is half of what it was last time. Stable! We like stable! And best part...we can take him off of his vitamins. Even better...next appointment is 4 months from last week! Woohoo! Go lil tiger!!
We were told he need to start feeding himself...so the next day grandma gave him a piece of fruits...and sure enough he ate it! Yummy!! :)

Happy Doctors!
Kyle had two doctor appointments today, one round of drawing blood and one round of flu shot, even with all that my lil man is still happy as ever. He weighed in at 17lbs 2 ozs. Impressive weight gain since the last time for them! They're extremely happy with how well he's maintaining the weight gain. I can't say much about his height as they both came in at different numbers, but I can say he is def not a tall one. Guess the wishing for him to get the recessive genes didn't work out.
At his liver appointment, they were so happy on how he looks and acting. Even the surgeon stopped by and said hi. His doctor took Kyle all around the office and was just telling everyone that Kyle was her lil one and how great he looked. Hopefully his blood results are stable and nothing fishy comes up. The best part is they decided that instead of seeing him every other month, they are going to see him every 4 now. I'm extremely happy about that. It just means he's going at the right track.
At his pediatrician, his doc was happy with him as well, especially with his developmental skills. The last time we saw he was there she was concerned about it all. But now she's not worried at all. Overall, it was a good day at the doctors. Extremely proud of how my lil man is doing!!
Will update pics shortly.
Next up on Kyle's adventure...Boo at the Zoo with his other stooges and company!

Birth weight double!!!
Finally Kyle is double his birth weight!!! He's 14lbs 7ozs as of today at his monthly check up with his liver team. (still a little short though) Even though he's a little off his developing skills, the np thinks he looks great. Liver is sill enlarged but that's ok cause liver is a remarkable organ and it may go back to normal size as he gets bigger. He's come a long way!
As for the physical therapy part, he's been evaluated by the pt (thx to our wonderful friend!!!), special Ed teacher and nutritionist - results are that he's borderline, so city may not approve for the IE program. He's being evaluated by the OT today. Even though he may not qualify for city funded IE program, he's got some amazing aunties that will help us out. Like his np said he's young and will catch up.
I'll post pics later.

Happy 7 Months!!!
Happy 7 Months to our little tiger!
He is doing well lately...eating, rolling, almost sitting, jumping, teething, chatting up a storm! His next appointment is in about 3 weeks with his liver team.
Kyle is currently still on pregestimil. We had some left over and didn't want to waste it. Plus insurance sent some over. BTW, does anyone know if we can get retro back for the formula we brought prior to them approving it? I tried calling and it was an automatic machine talking to me, it's so annoying! He averages about 20-21ozs a day of 30 calories per fluid oz and has 1-2 solid feedings a day. He's super slick, he will not eat any plain oatmeal or rice cereal, we need to mix it with apple sauce. ha!
We are slowly started taking him out more. Mostly outdoors, however this past weekend we had brunch with our dear friend Kimmie and her son indoors, wasn't so bad. Kyle was just a little distracted with so much going on. He's starting to recognize places and people, so it takes him a minute to warm up. But once he does he's all smiles. He's such a happy baby. Hopefully in do time we can work up the courage to take him out out more often and enjoy the weather.
